Typhoon Lagoon
According to legend, Typhoon Lagoon was formed by a hurricane, 'instead of a certain watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon...' This explains the trees that are impaled by surfboards and the location of Miss Tilly , a shrimp boat that is precariously balanced on the top of Mount Mayday.

River Country
River Country, the first of Disney's water parks, was opened in the mid seventies. Located on the edge of Bay Lake in Fort Wilderness, River country is Disney's version of an old-fashioned swimming hole. It has all the water park standards like flume rides, water slides and a white water rapid ride. There are also nature trails and one of the only beaches in Central Florida.
